~Who Wants To Know~
|
| This page
has been the hardest one to put on the site as who wants to know
about us? The love of boxers didn't start until Marlo and Jeff
got their first puppy pound female Zoe in Omaha, NE. She
needed a mate so next came Marley from GA. Not knowing much
about show boxers they decided to go to some shows to watch and
decided that the boxers they had were not the quality for the ring.
Phase two went to search for a good foundation and show quality
female boxer and that's when we located Country Time Boxers in
Alabama. As Marlo's mother, I knew a little about showing dogs
as I had shown Great Pyrenees back in the 80's with a finished
champion male "Ben". We got a sweet girl Shay from Rhonda McNutt and within several weeks she died in Marlo's arms for no apparent reason. Finding out that she had fallen at Rhonda's and broke her toe and the infection undetected went to her heart and died. At this point the road to showing boxers hadn't gone to far and disappointment had set in for everyone. Rhonda found another female for us and that has started our foundation with Paige and Ella. Marlo and family moved in December of 2006 and has the desire to get into the show ring with our future breeding. Marlo has been working with Rick Justice, a well known handler for showing boxers. Gracie even only two now loves puppies and the dogs love her. Marley, Zoe and Ella are the best baby sitters as she sits on them and does anything with them. She will be a junior handler for sure when she gets old enough. We have two divisions now since Marlo and family in Athens, Alabama and the Kansas Division where I live. Since their desire to have boxers, I have grown to love them as well. Our goal is to raise the best that we can and get them in the show ring as responsible breeders. ~Carol Hobbs~ |
